About Hand-Sewn cotton quilt
This product is 100% hand stitched, and hand embroidered using traditional skills from Gujarat. It has five layers of cotton fabrics, and it is completely hand sewn with traditional Kantha Quilting technique. The fabric used is dye free and bleach free to not to contribute to water pollution\ consumption except the colorful ones. Those fabrics have been sourced from the production houses in its original scrap form. It is not just beautiful, but a thoughtful product made keeping the individuality of the maker in mind. It is co designed by the designer- who understands the market requirement and the artisan who has these amazing skills. It is made in a studio where up-cycling and zero waste is the inspiration to design. Any irregularity is a result of truly following handmade process. Definitely we try to maintain all sustainable aspects during the production-material-process and the maker. Specially the maker. Because we believe what is the point of making a sustainable product if the maker isn't happy.
About Shanti Tikda- 3658
Shanti ben is a mother of five, Lata, Jaya, Raju, Hema & Amit.
Shanti ben herself is skilled in applique work and quilting. With her age now, she is not able to work on small folding technique required to applique surface, so she eventually stopped doing that. But age doesn't stop her doing something she has been doing all her life with so much love for what she does. Now, along with Jaya (apparently, she got her skills from her mother to do such precise work in embroidery) both work on quilts surface design.
Jaya is our in-house artisan who works as an all-rounder while her mother works from home because she can't travel now. Jaya ben worked on the big applique circles & Shanti ben worked on the quilting for the quilt.
Guess what? Now, even Guddiya (Sakshi), Jaya's daughter is learning little bit from her mother & her grandmother. It's a way of passing skills from one generation to another.

It will take approximately 25-30 days to ship; from the day payment is received. After an order is placed, you shall receive a confirmation, tentative date of dispatch and tracking details time to time. Within India the delivery will take 8 to 10 days, and international delivery will take from 12 to 15 days to reach from the day of dispatch.
