This product is 100% hand stitched, and hand embroidered using traditional skills from Gujarat. The fabric used is dye free and bleach free to not to contribute to water pollution\ consumption. It is not just beautiful, but a thoughtful product made keeping the individuality of the maker in mind. It is co designed by the designer- who understands the market requirement and the artisan who has these amazing skills. It is made in a studio where up-cycling and zero waste is the inspiration to design. Any irregularity is a result of truly following handmade process. Definitely we try to maintain all sustainable aspects during the production-material-process and the maker. Specially the maker. Because we believe what is the point of making a sustainable product if the maker isn't happy.
Technique: Kharek- A counted thread embroidery from Kutch, Gujarat. When we initially met Dhani, we gave a fabric piece to make samples swatches of what all skills and technique she knew. She started off with Soof embroidery. Comparatively her speed in Soof embroidery was slower than normal and she struggled in generating a motif. We talked to her if she could try some different stitches. We were new to her & due to that she was quite reserved with her responses. The next day, when we again met her, we had a normal conversation of how she was feeling that day and we talked to her about Khushi( she brought her the first day and the other as well), asked who she was to her & we got to know that she is daughter & building those conversations with her made her feel comfortable to talk with us. She had brought along her Kharek embroidery work that she had done on a few household pieces. Thats when we knew that she was working on Soof since a lot of other people around her were too! She was skilled in Kharek so we gave her a shirt without any prior sampling & asked her to make Kharek lines & that she could do that however she wishes to or to stop the line from wherever she wants to. Thats how Dhani Kharek shirt was designed. She was just happy to work with those lines.

Fabric: Dye Free, Bleach Free Hand-Woven 100% Cotton Fabric. The small piece of fabrics used for surface ornamentations are used from scrap material.
Wash Care: Gentle machine wash.
Advice: Do not iron for more original look of the fabric. Shake off the wrinkles before line dry. It will save on the electricity!
Shipping: It will take approximately 10-12 days to ship; from the day payment is received. After an order is placed, you shall receive a confirmation, tentative date of dispatch and tracking details time to time. Within India the delivery will take 8 to 10 days and international delivery will take from 12 to 15 days to reach from the day of dispatch.
