Collection: Ramto Daano

“Ramto Daano” which translates to playing bead. This collection is based on Tangaliya weaving which is practised in Suredranagar and in Kutch. Breaking from the traditional bounds of a geometric pattern and this collection is a concept that was created to give the artisans freedom to place danas(beads) anywhere on the cloth while weaving. We must remember that artisans, having a high level of skill, have learnt their craft in a strict and disciplined manner. Hence, in the initial stages, they found it difficult to understand the free flow and randomness. This is the barrier we strived to cross in order to co create and involve the artisan in the design process as much as possible. Soon Artisans started enjoying this idea of them designing the fabric as they weave.
