Dilshad banu formerly called as Deepika, is a happy-go-lucky person. She is skilled at making intricate work such as sadu bharat (herringbone stich), making billas (badges) and bakhiyo (back stitch). She recently faced a personal loss when her husband-Mustufa, passed away. They shared a beautiful love story and ever since his demise she keeps him alive in her work by marking his initial 'M' on every product she makes at the studio. This was my inspiration for making a design with her portrait using the initial "M. The portrait is done on the back of the shirt and the front is completely filled with clusters of 'M' all over the shirt. The technique to be used is called Bakhiyo with technical exploration based on the number of threads used to create a particular effect.
